Oi! Thanks for coming back! You can consider the following a "continuation" of my old personal page...

I am now half way through with my studies here in Wales. It's amazing just how fast the time is flying! So far, my experience has been all that it was supposed to be and more. Being on an exchange program to another country is a highly valuable experience and I recommend it to every student who has the chance!

The most recent news from Wales is that I made the volleyball team. I joined the club just wanting to play a little volleyball, and never would I have imagined making the final cut. There are 9 of us who travel to our away matches (I believe we have three matches this term, all away, and a tournament here at home). I am extremely excited about this whole experience. To find out more, check out my new volleyball page.

Now that the term is in full force, I actually have been doing assignments, but alas, I will not complain as the workload is still lighter than I'm used to at the University of Puget Sound, my home university. Our Robotics class has finally started into the practical sessions, and the first one was pretty neat - we got to see the two robots that the University owns in action.

The night life is still as active as ever...although I'm told that it's not that great compared to some of the larger cities in the UK. As far as I'm concerned (being still underage by American standards), it's pretty cool. I have toned down my alcohol intake, mainly because of financial reasons. I'm saving my money in hopes of travelling to some exotic place here in Europe before I leave. I will be in Dublin, Ireland on November 15th for a day trip. So keep an eye on my Wales Picture Archive around that time because I'm sure that I will have a plethora of pretty pictures. My dream right now is to make it to Italy for a few days before I leave for the states, but I'm not sure that I will be able to swing it financially.

Another thing that I will touch upon is the wonderful hospitality that I have general received from the people I have met here. Just the other night I met a great Irish bloke who gave me much advice for my trip to Ireland. We must have talked for hours...I could listen to his wonderful accent for at least that long. I have made many friends here and will definitely miss them when I leave.

Well, I realise that this has been a rather short update, but to be honest, I don't have much else to say. I probably keep in touch with most of you via e-mail, but if I don't, or if you have any other questions...simply ask. And keep your eyes peeled for drastic updates to my Volleyball and Welsh Picture Pages, as well as a new feature - The "G" List. Don't ask, just keep coming back to find out what I mean. Cheers!

P.S. The "big hello of the week," while becoming popular in its own right, is taking an extended vacation...
