Mike

It's already the 2nd day of summer and I felt it was a good time for another update on the excursions and events of Erin & Mike. We were extremely busy in May with short, weekend trips around the country. We started with a last-minute trip to Philadelphia using miles and Erin's travel agent discounts so that Mike could see Delaware. Now he only has 4 more states to visit to see them all. He plans on visiting North Dakota next month with Jon, leaving just Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi to round out the list.

The next weekend, we drove up to Glenwood Springs and spent a glorius May day at the Hot Springs Pool. It was a nice, quick getaway from the city. After a weekend home, we ventured up to Seattle to see some old friends and catch a baseball game at Safeco Field. The following weekend (Memorial Day) we went back down to San Diego for a friend's wedding and to visit Erin's family.

Just 10 days later, Mike was summonsed back to the San Diego area for work reasons. He got to experience his second earthquake, this one a 5.2 tremor during his business meeting...fun stuff! He also managed to catch a Padres game at brand-new Petco Park with his in-laws. Counting a visit to the brand-new Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, he and Erin visited 4 different baseball parks in just over a month (counting Coors Field in Denver as well). Erin didn't get to see Petco Park, but she didn't miss much as their new stadium is rather disappointing.

In addition to Mike's road trip with Jon next month, Erin is planning a short weekend jaunt to the house in Montana for a little RnR with the family, and the both of us are planning a return trip to Seattle to see the newest addition to the Grigsby family (whenever he decides to join the outside world!)...

In other news, our friend Chad has decided to move out of our house and into the bright lights of Las Vegas. It's nice to have the extra room, as our garage is looking less like storage and more like a location to put cars! Also, today happens to be our 2nd Wedding Anniversary - my how time flies! That's it for now...keep watching for future updates!
