A year has past and what a year it's been! The first big event of the year was the extraction of the glasses off of my head due to successful LASIK surgery. That's right, since January 10th of this past year, I've had perfect vision and love every minute of it. Erin's still a bit too timid to have the surgery herself (especially after watching the video!) but she may cave in eventually. Shortly after my surgery, we finally were able to move into our new townhouse this year. Just a couple of months later, we were hit with one of the biggest blizzard's in Denver's history! The house held up fine and we all had a good time. Our friend Chad still lives with us - "renting" one of our rooms.

In June, the Zackary's welcomed their newest addition, baby Julia was born to Bo and Amy in San Diego in early June so Erin and I made a quick trip to see the little (and I mean little!) tyke. Later in the year, we started vacationing and it still hasn't stopped! We started the summer by flying to Seattle and then driving with our friends Trent & Noelle and their new boat across to the Zackary house on Flathead Lake in Montana. Unfortunately, it rained most of our week, but we had a good day or two of water skiing as well as a snowy trip (on the first day of summer!) to Glacier National Park.

Then, at the end of August, we journeyed to Alaska with our friends Jon & Kelly for a week in a rented RV. We drove from Anchorage down to Seward and back up to Denali. It was a great time, although again, it managed to rain at least once each day we were there....our spirits were not dampened though - we had a great time!

Erin and I took a couple of short, weekend trips throughout the fall as well - we drove to New Mexico in August, and flew to Medford, OR to catch some Shakespeare in October. For Thanksgiving, we flew back up to the Montana House to spend the holiday with the Zackary family. Unfortunately, the pipes were frozen when we all got there, but fortunately, they thawed before turkey-day and made for a very happy household!

We weren't the only ones travelling. We had a couple of weekend visits throughout the year, one from Erin's brother Brian a few months back, and just recently one from our good friend Ryan Ward in Washington just a couple of weeks ago.

We aren't travelling anywhere for Christmas or New Year's, but we are taking an 8 day excursion to Hawaii the second week of January for a little Scuba Diving and island hopping. Keep an eye out for pics here at this site!

Other news this past year includes Erin's 2nd Anniversary at AAA-Colorado as well as a new job (sort of) for me with Northrop Grumman. While I waited for my Security Clearance to come through, I've stayed on with the Bureau of Land Management in Lakewood. I'm finally ready to move on over to the other side of town where my new commute will be about 10-15 minutes....a relief over driving all the way across town! I should be working in Aurora immediately after our trip to Hawaii.

That's it for us! A busy and fun year. Hope everyone is doing as well as we are - feel free to drop us a line via e-mail or our guestbook!
